BLACK MATERNAL HEALTH WEEK, COME JOIN US
We invite you to join us in this important work by becoming a sponsor of Black Maternal Health Week 2025. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and ensure that we are not only continuing forward but doing so with purpose, compassion, and commitment to equity.
We are excited to announce the upcoming Black Maternal Health Week, taking place from April 11-17, 2025, under the empowering theme of "Continuing Forward." This week-long observance is dedicated to raising awareness about the critical issues surrounding Black maternal health and the unique challenges faced by Black mothers and birthing individuals.
Black Maternal Health Week serves as a vital platform for community engagement, education, and advocacy, focusing on the urgent need to address disparities in maternal health outcomes. With alarming statistics indicating that Black women are three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications than their white counterparts, the importance of this initiative cannot be overstated. Our theme, "Continuing Forward," embodies our commitment to progress, resilience, and empowerment as we strive to create a future where every mother receives the care, support, and respect she deserves.
According to the 2024 March of Dimes Report Card, Jacksonville, currently has an F rating. This indicates that our municipality is still struggling to assist black women with carrying their babies full term and also ensuring that the children that are born live to see their first birthday.
Throughout the week, we will host a series of events, workshops, and discussions designed to educate our community about maternal health, promote mental well-being, and inspire action toward systemic change. By partnering with us as a sponsor, you will play a crucial role in supporting these efforts and contributing to the well-being of Black families in our community.
